Nature & Outdoor Adventure
Beyond the historic monuments lies a vast and diverse topography. From snow capped peaks and river gorges to massive canyons and sea cliffs, Turkey has a wide range of outdoor activities to offer. Our Nature & Adventure collection brings together the best trails, summits to glide from and canyons with rivers for those who want to experience the wilderness and geological wonders of Turkey (maybe with some extreme sports).
The Lycian Way
Stretching along the mountainous coast of southwestern Turkey, the Lycian Way is a multi day trekking route. Hiking along these trails, you'll witness sweeping Mediterranean panoramas, pine forest tracks and remote nomadic communities. Along the path, hikers walk through ruins of the ancient Lycian federation, passing stone tombs, abandoned amphitheaters and towns left completely preserved in nature.
Paragliding in Fethiye
For thrill seekers, leaping from the 1,900-meter peak of Babadag Mountain in Fethiye offers one of the world's most spectacular paragliding experiences. Floating through the thermal drafts gives you an unrivaled bird's eye panoramic view over the iconic Blue Lagoon of Oludeniz and the surrounding Taurus Mountains. Glide with the help of professionals who will guide you down to the landing site at the famous beach of Oludeniz or bring your own gear and take the cable car to the top of the mountain.
Saint Paul Trail
Stretching roughly 500 kilometers (310 miles) across southwestern Turkey, the Saint Paul Trail is Turkey's second long distance trekking route. Opened in 2004, the trail retraces the historic route taken by Saint Paul the Apostle during his first missionary journey through Asia Minor in 45 AD, climbing from the Mediterranean coastal plains up into the wild, high altitude landscapes of the Taurus Mountains and the Lakes District.
